Connecting the unconnected in the USA

At theunconnected.org we often focus on the developing world. However, issues of digital inequality also affect segments of society in wealthy nations. The Atlantic Council hosted a webinar that discusses the challenges of connecting the unconnected in the USA.

18 million households in the USA have no access to the internet at all. For the world’s biggest economy, this exacerbates inequality and social divide.

This webinar discusses the challenges in connecting rural locations, native Americans, inner city and student communities in a country where internet access is amongst the most expensive on the planet.
