Harvesting knowledge in a rice granary school

Minuli Elementary School in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija, Luzon, Philippines is the latest educational facility to be connected to the internet powered by unconnected.org and RA Omega, a local ISP and cable operator.

Situated in the rice granary of the archipelago, the school is home to students and faculty whose life outside the gates revolve around crops and how this major staple provides for farming families in surrounding fields.

RA Omega covered the school as part of its commitment to nurture the next generation through information and communications technology. Through satellite internet technology, its capability to quickly deploy solutions are complemented by their long history of fiberizing their town.

The school is but one of the several targets of the local ISP which envisions to really build the digital infrastructure in the area.
