unconnected.org partners with online charity platform

unconnected.org partnered with charityphilippines.org, in an effort to raise awareness on programs related to providing sustainable connectivity solutions in remote and rural places.

Access to the affordable internet is a challenge most especially for students in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA). Where commercial telecommunications coverage is lacking or non-existent, schools are mostly affected by unavailability of internet services hampering opportunities for learning, leaving behind the have-nots in the age of digital technologies.

charityphilippines.org invites donors to support projects, such as affordable internet for communities, on a web-based interface like a marketplace for causes.

The platform does not charge any fees and commit to shoulder transaction costs when donations for connectivity projects are received, ensuring that the full amount goes to the beneficiaries of unconnected.org.

unconnected.org is highlighting its focus areas in the Philippines mainly education, as well as in healthcare and for disasters.

Interested individuals and organizations may access charityphilippines.org and donate to various initiatives of unconnected.org, and of other non-profit organizations.

The partnership was initially discussed at the occasion of the workshop hosted by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC).
